Sun World International is now using software apps from Lotpath to manage its fresh produce inspections, crop estimates, and food safety inspections.

Kris Long, Sun World’s Director of IT states “Sun World’s goal in selecting Lotpath is to leverage technology to ensure our fresh produce is exceeding food safety and quality standards. The customizable software and iPad applications create realtime visibility throughout our supply chain – from the field, to our various packing and shipping facilities.”

“We are receiving very favorable responses from the produce industry to our inspection software apps. We are particularly excited to work with Sun World as they are one of the most innovative produce companies in the industry. With the addition of Sun World and other new customers, a big portion of the 2013 California stonefruit and table grape crops has been inspected with Lotpath inspection software. To date, our customers have performed more than 100,000 inspections and uploaded more than 50,000 photos. As word spreads, we continue to sign up produce companies in other growing regions who pack a wide variety of commodities.” said Mike Dodson, CEO of Lotpath.

Sun World manages more than 10,000 acres of farmland and ships more than 10 million cartons of produce annually.
