T&G Global Partners with DreamWorks Animation's "Spirit Untamed" to Promote JAZZ™ Apples
LOS ANGELES, CA - There is something to be said about the power of strong branding when it comes to company success. Proving it to be true, JAZZ™ apples and DreamWorks Animation have once again teamed up to continue their partnership and cross promotion of the animated film Spirited Away, the sequel to the film Spirit. Through the continued alliance, the two well-known brands will bring together generations of shoppers and their families while increasing produce aisle traffic.
The duo paired up for the first time this past spring, and the result was a surge in sales for JAZZ due to a strong in-store and online presence. According to a press release, the apples say a jump in Total Apple Sales ranking by category, with 19.7 percent growth in dollar sales and 18.6 percent growth in volume for the 24-week period ending June 19, 2021. During that time, there was also an increase in distribution as 110 additional retail locations signed up to sell JAZZ apples throughout the promotion.
Further increasing the success of the first promotion, the partnership utilized public relations, social media, and a robust digital ad campaign that included YouTube pre-roll ads. Additionally, a dedicated website featuring a store locator, Spirit Untamed-themed activities, and a signature kid-friendly recipe inspired by the movie and using JAZZ apples resulted in more than 140 million consumer impressions in May and June.
