Western Growers Hires Maximilian Merrill as Federal Government Affairs Analyst
Irvine, Ca- Maxmilian Merril has joined Western Growers as the new Federal Affairs Analyst, based out of Washington.
Merrill’s new responsibilities will include helping the WG federal affairs team with regulatory and legislative objectives in both the legislative and executive branches of the federal government.
“I’m excited about working on federal agriculture policy to help our agricultural economy stay strong,” Merrill said.Previously, Merrill was the Environmental Program and Policy Specialist for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. With experience in state and local policy along with a background in water science, Merrill will undoubtedly prove to be a valuable addition to the team.
Merrill has a B.A. in Natural Resources and a B.S. in Hydrology from North Carolina State University. Merrill also earned a J.D. from Vermont Law School.
