CARLSBAD, CA - Women around the industry are gearing up to gather together for the 2026 Women’s Fresh Perspectives Conference (WFPC) hosted by the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA). Welcoming first-time attendees is always an exciting goal for the event, and WINDSET FARMS® is contributing strongly this year.

“We send new employees every year so they can experience and learn from the event. Over the years, we’ve had team members attend from sales, marketing, logistics, QA, and HR. The conference consistently brings in inspiring speakers who cover topics that benefit anyone looking to grow, both professionally and personally,” Randi Church, Marketing Manager, shared with me.

Making a splash with a team of four this round, Randi said the company was extra excited to share the experience with more members as the Carlsbad, California, location is a convenient one for the greenhouse grower.

One of the biggest takeaways past WINDSET attendees have brought home is the importance of understanding priorities and delegating when necessary so tasks are completed to the same high standard you hold for yourself.

My advice would be to go in with an open mind and take part in the full experience. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, connect with others, and enjoy the activities,” Randi shared. “The great thing about WFPC is that everyone is there to learn and grow, not to focus on sales or contracts, but to leave with a fresh perspective, new goals, and ideas you can put into action.”

Another piece of wisdom Randi shared—and one I agree wholeheartedly with—is to take notes throughout and, at the end, write down a few personal action items with follow-up dates.

“That might mean setting time with colleagues or mentors to review progress and help hold yourself accountable, since it’s easy to fall back into old habits once you’re back at work,” Randi concluded.
