Harold Paivarinta Comments on Red Sun Farms™ IFPA Showcase and New Tatayoyo® Release

KINGSVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA - A unique pepper is making its tropical way to our shores, and Red Sun Farms™ is the bearer of sweet news. Harold Paivarinta, Senior Director of Sales, was more than happy to chat with me about the grower’s launch of Tatayoyo® at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA).

Harold Paivarinta, Senior Director of Sales, Red Sun Farms™“Red Sun Farms is proud to introduce Tatayoyo, a delightful combination of flavor and sweetness that comes together to create an extraordinary mini-pepper experience for your taste buds,” begins Harold. “Tatayoyo is our latest development in greenhouse varietal innovation, and we can’t wait for you to experience it. It is a delightful assortment of sweet mini peppers that captivate with their distinct aromatics and exceptional flavor profile.”

Taking a spotlight for its own next to the new pepper is the grower’s progress on enhancing tomato varieties. Disease resistance within tomato varieties will also be a focal topic for Red Sun, particularly regarding the potential market influence for the upcoming season. Global Produce & Floral Show attendees from October 19–20 will also get to learn from the Red Sun team on its dedication to perfecting tomato varieties to benefit all bottom lines.

“We are also eager to talk about our tomatoes. Our innovation in disease resistance for tomato variety has also been a key focus for our head growers,” continues Harold. “Together with the dedication of our seed partners and our growing staff, we look forward to sharing these new tomato varieties that are being commercially produced for the market.”

As IFPA brings all members across the industry together, the grower is eager to catch up with friends, customers, and curious minds on the show floor—and to showcase a tropical booth to whisk people away to.

“As we delve into what's new, Red Sun Farms’ booth is designed to deliver a greenhouse experience at IFPA,” begins Harold. “With a variety of fresh ideas, exciting developments, and unique features, attendees will discover a world of innovation, promise to quality, and a commitment to a sustainable future. Our dedication is what makes our booth a 2022 Best of Show Island Booth.”

Aside from providing a tantalizing booth, exciting releases, and sneak peeks into innovations, Red Sun is equally ready to reconnect with its retail partners and aligned approaches to create a successful Q4 2023. With the end of the year almost upon us, it’s never too early to open communications on shared goals for 2024.

“The Global Produce and Floral show is one of the largest and busiest shows that Red Sun Farms participates in, and we look forward to the excitement that this event brings to the industry every year,” concludes Harold. “This event is designed to bring the North American (and global) industry together to showcase innovation, technology, and new products. We always have a few surprises in store at our booth, so folks will have to come by and pay us a visit to see some of our latest innovations and projects.”
