Harris Teeter is Lowering Prices Following its Acquisition by Kroger
Harris Teeter is introducing its New Lower Price campaign to its shoppers in North Carolina, according to a press release.
The price reductions are marked with green tags on shelves in many stores, and include grocery, organic, and perishable items. The price cuts were made possible from "better efficiencies" following the company's recent acquisition by Kroger, according to Herald Online.
"Over the years, our customers have asked us to lower our prices, and we've listened by introducing various pricing and promotional strategies which drive value to them," said Catherine Becker, Communication Manager for Harris Teeter. "This new program is the big change our shoppers have been asking for. Through our recent merger, we have achieved better efficiencies and have chosen to re-invest those savings into, among other things, lower prices for our customers."
Harris Teeter has been serving North Carolina since 1936 and is proud today to introduce its New Lower Price campaign to shoppers in the greater Charlotte area, Asheville and Hendersonville. This program will reduce prices on thousands of products sold in Harris Teeter locations.
"This is an exciting time for our company," said Becker. "We’re pleased to continue to strengthen our relationship with our shoppers through this New Lower Price program, and we look forward to introducing it in additional markets, as well."
All of Harris Teeter's other promos including VIC, e-VIC, Super Double Coupons and double manufacturer's coupons will not be affected by the New Lower Price campaign.
