CINCINNATI, OH - A longtime Kroger executive is moving on after nearly two decades with the retailer, sharing reflections on leadership, mentorship, and team culture in a recent LinkedIn post.

Jamie Lancaster, the former Global Vice President, Kroger Capability Center, announced that May 16 marked his final day with Kroger after 18 years with the company, describing the experience as “an amazing 18 years” and crediting several company leaders for shaping his professional journey.

“I have been blessed to work for some of the greatest leaders,” Lancaster wrote in the post. “Those leaders made me who I am today, and they set an amazingly high bar. They also taught me that results matter.”

Lancaster specifically referenced learning different leadership styles from former and current Kroger executives, including servant leadership, empathy, and confidence-driven management. He also thanked colleagues and team members across the organization who supported him throughout his tenure.

“I have been blessed to work with amazing teams,” Lancaster wrote. “I would have accomplished nothing in my time here without the support of my leaders, my team, and my peers.”

While Lancaster did not announce a specific next role, he indicated he plans to take time before pursuing new opportunities.

“My next adventure awaits,” he wrote. “I am excited to take some time for myself, and then tackle some new challenges.”
