Multivac Announces Mark Turnham as New Technical Training Manager
KANSAS CITY, MO - Multivac has added a new Technical Training Manager, choosing Mark Turnham to lead its technical training program for the entire United States.
With a diverse background in manufacturing operations, Turnham brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role. Turnham has been a part of the Multivac team since April 2014, where he began as Regional Service Manager for the company’s Customer Support Center in Tustin, CA. In that position, Turnham worked very closely with technicians to build their skillsets and help them meet the technical demands of Multivac’s equipment. Turnham was also responsible for creating customer training courses and helping increase the training department’s capacity while catering to the Western Region’s specific customer profile.
“Having worked directly with our internal technical talent and Multivac customers, Mark brings valuable insight to this role in terms of understanding the breadth and depth of technical skills needed to build, operate, and service our equipment,” explained the company’s Human Resources Director, Christine Regan. “He has a real enthusiasm for mentoring and developing talent and is keenly aware of our responsibility to meet both internal and external training needs for the success of Multivac and our customers. Mark will no doubt bring excitement to this role and work diligently to execute best in class training that meets the evolving needs of our diverse customer base.”
Turnham’s new position comes at a time where Multivac is striving to develop new products and services that meet the changing needs of the packaging industry. In just the past two years, the company has opened regional sales offices in California and New Jersey, with another scheduled to open in North Carolina in the summer of 2016. Renovating its U.S. headquarters offices in Kansas City, the company is adding 32,000 square-feet, including a state-of-the-art demonstration area and training facility, to allow it to further expand upon manufacturing capabilities.
