PHARR, TX - Recently, Urapa Produce gained over 50 years of veteran sales experience through the hiring of two industry veterans. Alejandro (Alex) Castillo and Dan McGrath are joining the Texas-based company, bolstering its fast-growing presence in the avocado and mango markets.

Castillo will be bringing a wealth of experience to his new role out of the Chicago, Illinois, area. He joins the company with knowledge and expertise from his time spent in the warehousing, buying, selling, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management sectors. Most recently, he held the position of Senior Market Specialist at CH Robinson.

At Urapa, he will be in charge of leading the company’s mango program as well as developing long-term partnerships. Not only is Castillo excited to “work in an optimally productive environment,” but he also values “having the ability to help supply customers with Urapa’s commodities from the ground up.”

Joining Castillo will be McGrath.

McGrath will be located on the California coast, and is joining Urapa with a vast career spent in sales and customer development. He most recently served as a Senior Market Specialist at CH Robinson. McGrath will handle Urapa’s West Coast programs as well as establish strategic partnerships across the U.S.

As Urapa’s newest team member, McGrath is thrilled to “be at the forefront with two of the most upward trending commodities” and “looks forward to contributing to this small-sized but large-thinking company.”
