Wonderful® Pistachios Expands E-Sports Marketing With Content Partnership; Adam Cooper and Brennon “GoldGlove” O’Neill Comment
LOS ANGELES, CA - Wonderful® Pistachios is once again promoting healthy snacking done right, this time with its investment in e-sports through a new content partnership with Brennon “GoldGlove” O’Neill. As a result of the alliance, Twitch and YouTube gaming channels will be met with an innovative marketing campaign to bring awareness to the brand's newest No Shells BBQ and No Shells Sea Salt & Vinegar varieties.
“Over the years, Wonderful Pistachios has become a household name through strategic partnerships with some of the most recognizable Hollywood talent, professional athletes, social media influencers, and so much more,” explained Senior Vice President of Marketing Adam Cooper. “Our e-sports expansion only furthers our mission to share our favorite plant protein snack nut with new audiences, and on newer platforms that have tremendous growth potential."
According to a press release, Wonderful Pistachios has partnered with GoldGlove for three sponsored live streams throughout the month of October, reaching his dedicated social media and streaming audience of 1.4M followers on Twitch, 1.2M subscribers on YouTube, 400K followers on Twitter, and 148K followers on Instagram.
The partnership will kick off with GoldGlove broadcasting NBA 2K starting Friday, September 17, and will continue with more broadcasts throughout September and October. During the streams, viewers will have the chance to redeem an exclusive promotional offering on the company’s No Shells varieties.
The campaign will highlight Wonderful’s new BBQ and Sea Salt & Vinegar flavors, which hit shelves in the spring. The No Shells flavor varieties are available in convenient, single-serve packs of .75 oz, as well as larger portions of 5.5 oz, 11 oz, and 22 oz for sharing. Wonderful Pistachios No Shells are also available in Roasted & Salted, Lightly Salted, Honey Roasted, and Chili Roasted varieties.
Last year, the supplier’s annual North America retail sales surpassed the $1 billion mark, with its growing portfolio positioning it for further success as it continues to expand its footprint to reach new audiences.
