Costco Reveals $1.6B Boost in July Sales Results
ISSAQUAH, WA - July marks another successful month for Costco Wholesale Corporation as the retailer reported its sales results for the four-week period ending July 31, 2022. In total, the company revealed net sales of $16.85 billion, an increase of 10.8 percent from $15.21 billion during the same period last year.
For the 48-week period ending July 31, 2022, Costco announced net sales of $205.19 billion, a 16.4 percent increase from $176.30 billion during the same period in 2021. According to a release, other highlights included:
- U.S. comparable sales increased 11.4 percent during the four-week period and 16.2 percent during the 48-week window
- E-commerce comparable sales rose 10.2 percent during the month of July and 10.6 percent during the 48-week period
- Canadian comparable sales increased 11.7 percent during the four-week period and 15.6 percent throughout the 48-week time frame
Costco currently operates 834 warehouses across the globe, including 575 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 107 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 31 in Japan, 29 in the United Kingdom, 14 in Taiwan, 13 in Australia, four in Spain, two in France and China, and one in Iceland.
