Baloian Farms to Introduce "Oddbells" Pepper Pack

Baloian Farms has announced its plan to introduce “Oddbells”, a value priced consumer pepper pack, in late July.
The west coast pepper producer noted a number of emerging consumer trends, including a rise in bell pepper consumption, more fresh ingredients being incorporated into home cooking, and heightened consumer emphasis on cost savings, leading the company to introduce the new pepper pack.
Jeremy Lane, Sales Manager of Baloian Farms, states, “As a company, we are always looking for new ways to add value to not only our bottom-line, but the bottom-line of our customers—including the consumers who ultimately take our product home. Oddbells was a great place to use ingenuity more than innovation and add value without adding cost."
The Oddbells pepper pack is a one-pound, brightly-colored cello pack that houses three to four uniquely shaped peppers. The packaging also features messaging that highlights the cost saving status of the product. The peppers’ shape is caused by seasonal changes affecting pollination or crowding of peppers on plant, which has traditionally brought down their price. Now, these peppers allow retailers to offer two unique SKU’s to accommodate a range of consumer interests.
Oddbells are available in 12-1# packs for green and red peppers. Mr. Lane adds, “We believe Oddbells has a clear place in the market and will serve two very different customers and ultimately increase total sales for the category. We look forward to sharing this product with our customers and rolling out many more products that bring added value to the category.”
