SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Melons are a quintessential summer fruit here in the Northern Hemisphere, enticing shoppers to load up their baskets with the variety of different offerings from the category. To ensure that its supply of the delicious fruit remains strong, Legend Produce has added a new face to its leadership team, naming Marc Beoshanz as its newest Farming Operations Manager.

“I have worked in production agriculture, agricultural research, and product development. When I started my career in research, I fell in love with melons, and that is why I’m here today,” said Beoshanz. “I am thrilled to join Legend Produce and work alongside a team that is as passionate as I am to bring only the finest melons to market. I am looking forward to ensuring we are at the forefront of product development, sustainability, and food safety.”

Immediately joining the farming operations in Arizona and California, Beoshanz will oversee the domestic melon production alongside Co-Founder Pat Tucker.

In his new role, a press release explained, he will work to develop new products while growing the relationships that Legend Produce has with its customers.

“I have known Marc for a long time, and I’m confident he is going to thrive at Legend Produce. His character, work ethic, and values will make him a great leader in our company. I couldn’t be happier he decided to join us,” said Barry Zwillinger, Co-Founder. “He will be an integral part of our organization’s plan to ensure we exceed our customer’s expectations at every level.”

Beoshanz joins the Legend Produce team from HM Clause Seed Company. The ag industry vet spent 14 years working for the company, helping growers find and develop some of the finest melon seed varieties in the world. During his tenure with the seed company, Beoshanz served as Regional Manager. Throughout his 30 years of experience, he has held a variety of titles within the food production sector.
