The California Grape & Tree Fruit League Elects David Jackson as Chairman
The California Grape & Tree Fruit League has elected David Jackson as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2014-15 fiscal year, according to The Business Journal. Jackson is the President of Family Tree Farms in Reedley, CA.
Also, Harold McClarty, President of HMC Farms, was elected as First Vice Chair.
Officers are nominated to serve for one-year terms, and are selected by the previous board chairs. The Board of Directors is comprised of 50 people from operations in California.
The election was held at the League's annual Membership Meeting in Ojai on 3/25/2014. The event also involved the election of the new board of directors, as well as the honoring of George Soares, Managing Partner of Kahn Soares & Conway LLP, with the prestigious mentor's award. The Membership Meeting also included an industry workshop which tackled the issues of water and immigration.
