GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Meijer is jumping into summer festivities with five new salad options making their way into the retailer’s lineup throughout its six-state reach.

The new salads focus on flavor trends to appeal those looking for healthy mealtime options, with both carnivore and vegetarian versions, according to a press release.

Here are the new salads:

Brussels Sprout and Broccoli Slaw Salad

This plant-based option uses freshly shaved brussels sprouts and broccoli, sweet apple chunks, shaved Parmesan cheese, crunchy walnuts, and sweet and smoky vinaigrette. As a produce-packed option, this is a great topper for flatbreads or just eaten as is!

Asian Slaw

Those wanting a fun twist on salads will be shouting with glee “Kale yeah!” This salad is a kale-based slaw, colorful with the use of sweet and red bell peppers, crunchy almonds, cilantro, and a sweet onion vinaigrette. Much like the Brussels Sprout Broccoli Slaw Salad, this option can be eaten alone or munched on in the grand scheme of mealtime deliciousness.

Nashville Hot Chicken Salad

With a dressing combination of rich buttermilk, dried chilies, and spices, this salad offering is a take on the Nashville, Tennessee-originating “hot mix.” Alongside fried chicken, the company offers a pickle, but the option comes in rotisserie-style shredded chicken with spicy dried chili, sweet pickle relish, and tangy buttermilk.

Korean BBQ Chicken Salad

This Korean-style salad is sweet and mildly spicy, with a dressing that uses fermented chilies, honey, ginger, soy, and toasted sesame oil. Shredded rotisserie-style chicken dons an authentic Korean BBQ flavor, with red bell pepper, sweet mango, green onion, and toasted sesame seeds.

Lemon Dill Tuna Salad

This non-mayo-based salad looks to fresh herbs and a light lemon vinaigrette to season the fresh albacore meat. It is a lighter option for those wanting a tasty meal on the go.
