T&G Global’s Envy™ Apples Hit Global Markets; Rachel Stotter and Craig Betty Discuss

NEW ZEALAND - The moment consumers across the globe have been waiting for has arrived, as they will soon be able to get their hand on this season’s New Zealand-grown Envy™ apples. With the first shipment underway, shoppers in Asia, North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe will have access to T&G Global’s apple variety as 2 million cartons will be exported to 60 countries this season.

Rachel Stotter, Director of Sales, T&G Global“Envy is a beautiful premium red apple that is larger in size and has a balanced sweetness, fresh aroma, and satisfying crunch. This makes it highly sought after, and we know consumers and customers will be eagerly awaiting this season’s crop,” said Rachel Stotter, Director of Sales. “Last year in Asia we had a sell-out season, with all of our New Zealand-grown Envy selling out ahead of schedule. Our Northern Hemisphere-grown Envy also sold well in Asia, following successful marketing campaigns for the Chinese New Year. This puts us in a great position for our New Zealand Envy growing season.”

T&G’s Envy apples are grown in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, across six continents, and in New Zealand, a release explained. The company’s network of growers grows them across Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne, and Nelson.

New Zealand-grown Envy™ apples recently embarked on its first shipment to Asia, North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe, as T&G Global revealed 2 million cartons for this season

Although global supply chain challenges persist, T&G has a robust shipping program in place to ensure Envy apples can be enjoyed around the world.

Craig Betty, Director of Operations, T&G Global“To ensure our premium apples arrive on time in North America to meet our customers’ needs, we’re working alongside fellow exporters, including Zespri and Bostock New Zealand, to charter and co-ship our fresh produce to the States,” commented Craig Betty, Director of Operations. “In addition to our commercial shipping arrangements, over the course of this season, we expect to charter six vessels to North America, departing from various ports including Napier, Nelson, and Tauranga; this will help us navigate any challenges in getting our great-tasting premium fruit to market.”
