International Fresh Produce Association Announces Robert Guenther's Departure



WASHINGTON, DC - The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) has revealed a change within its C-suite. On September 29, Chief Public Policy Officer Robert Guenther departed his position with the association. The search for a new Chief replacement is already in motion.

Robert Guenther, Former Chief Public Policy Officer, International Fresh Produce AssociationGuenther was known as a key leader in the development of the Government Relations (GR) Team at IFPA, the association stated in a release to the industry. The team was formed in January 2022 after the combination of legacy organizations Produce Marketing Association and United Fresh Produce Association.

“IFPA is grateful for his dedication to the industry and his years of service as an advocate for specialty crops,” IFPA's statement read.

The IFPA GR Team will reportedly continue supporting the organization’s Public Policy Priorities, which are focused on championing the 2023 Farm Bill, workforce and labor challenges, expanding Market Access, organics, nutrition security, and more.

The GR Team includes Rebeckah Freeman Adcock, Vice President of U.S. Government Relations; Mollie Van Lieu, Vice President of Nutrition and Health; John Hollay, Director of Labor and Workforce Policy; Sara Neagu-Reed, Director of Production and Environmental Policy; and Angela Tiwari, Director of Grassroots and Political Affairs.
