Oppy Welcomes Spanish Garlic to Product Portfolio; Aaron Quon Comments



VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - Things are getting spicy for Oppy as the grower, marketer, and distributor adds Spanish garlic to its product portfolio. This addition comes as the company has witnessed the success of its organic ginger.

Oppy’s new conventional Spanish garlic is available year-round in bulk and 3-pack mesh bags, a release stated. It will be arriving on both the East and West Coasts in varieties including pure white, spring white, spring violet, and morado in a range of sizes.

Oppy is once again expanding its presence in the produce aisle as it adds Spanish garlic to its product portfolio

Moving forward, Oppy will be exploring other options, including black garlic. The company is currently working with several trusted grower partners in Spain, the world’s second largest garlic exporter.

“Building off of our Peruvian organic ginger from recent years, we look forward to serving our customers and their shoppers with spicy additions as they continue to trend upward,” added Quon.

According to Nielsen data, dollar sales of garlic increased 43 percent over the last five-year period.
