Kroger Expands Network With Second Year of Go Fresh & Local Supplier Accelerator; Stuart Aitken and Dan De La Rosa Share



CINCINNATI, OH - Providers across the nation are getting another opportunity to join Kroger's supplier network, as the grocer has revealed the second annual launch of its Go Fresh & Local Supplier Accelerator. The program is dedicated to enhancing the selection of local items sold in the Kroger Family of Companies' stores, providing a pathway to entry for local businesses of all sizes.

We are excited to meet this year's suppliers who will help us advance our commitment to fresh in our nearly 2,800 stores."

Through this launch, Kroger is looking to expand its fresh departments, including fresh produce, floral, and more. As of May 4 through May 23, suppliers can apply to be considered for the two-day event held in Cincinnati, Ohio, this August.

The event is held in collaboration with ECRM and RangeMe. Kroger's category management and fresh director team will review applications in multiple rounds, according to a press release, selecting 30 finalists to attend the event.

Looking to expand its supplier base, Kroger has revealed the second annual launch of its Go Fresh & Local Supplier Accelerator

The top 15 finalists will be invited to present to a panel of Kroger executives where five winners will be named and achieve product placement on Kroger shelves, recommended partnerships with sponsors, and business development coaching from Kroger merchandising and sales leaders.
