Publix Opens Fifth Florida-Based GreenWise Market
FLORIDA - Although Publix is largely synonymous with the Sunshine State, it never hurts to intensify that synonymity. The grocer is expanding its footprint in the market by opening its fifth GreenWise Market location in the state of Florida.
“GreenWise Market is a place to find great food in a relaxed environment,” said Publix President Kevin Murphy. “It's a place where customers can connect with other food lovers, explore exciting new flavors, and find unique products that support their individual needs.”
Many of these flavors fall under the natural and organic categories, of which GreenWise Market boasts many unique offerings. The banner is specifically targeted at foodies and health-conscious shoppers, with its shelves stocked with plenty of vegan options and fresh made-to-order meals and grab-and-go foods.
According to a press release, the new store is located in Nocatee (Ponte Vedra), in north Florida, just south of Jacksonville. The 25,147-square-foot location is the first GreenWise Market to open in the region and the fifth for the state.
While Florida is often the main market where Publix is consistently expanding, the grocer also recently added to its GreenWise Market store count in Georgia. Last week, we reported that GreenWise Market made its first official foray into the Peach State. This opening complemented another new location opening in Odessa, Florida.
With all of these openings, GreenWise Market now touts a store count of nine.
