KEENE, NH - C&S Wholesale Grocers is preparing for a slew of grand openings—Grand Union openings, that is. The banner store is making its return to the New York and Vermont markets as C&S prepares to open 11 new locations total—10 in New York and one in Vermont. These will all be operated by C&S affiliate GU Markets.

“The Grand Union stores are back and better than ever. We have taken an iconic brand that everyone loved and leveraged our best-in-class retail strategies to take this legendary brand to the next level,” said Bob Palmer, Chief Executive Officer. “Shoppers will get great prices and an extensive selection of fresh and grocery staples. These stores have been specially designed and stocked to ensure braggingly happy customers with a customized local assortment.”

In honor of the opening of these new Grand Union stores, the retailers will offer consumers special deals, giveaways, and in-store ceremonies to be held at each location, a release stated.

During these events, Grand Union will be giving donations to local partners to keep the surrounding communities strong.

“Each of these Grand Union stores will showcase C&S’s already successful retail strategies and be supported by our strong wholesale supply chain,” stated Eric Winn, Chief Operating Officer. “They will feature our latest innovations in digital programming, loyalty, private brands, category management, promotional strategies and fresh assortment, pricing, and marketing.”
